What buyers ask first

These are the questions we're asked most often before a booking is confirmed: what happens on a changeable forecast, what's bundled into the quoted price, how cancellations are handled, and how many guests a given boat can carry. If you're weighing a day trip against a weekly charter, or a motor yacht against a sailing yacht, the answers below apply to both.

Each answer reflects how Yeska actually runs charters out of Palma, not a generic policy copied from elsewhere. Where a rule depends on the specific yacht, for example guest capacity or licence requirements for a bareboat charter, we say so and point you to the right sheet or page rather than give a vague average.

Questions about chartering

What happens if the weather turns on the day of our charter?

Our skipper assesses conditions at Moll Vell marina against the latest forecast and local sea state on the morning of departure. If it's unsafe to sail, we offer a rebooking within the same season at no extra cost, or a full refund of what's been paid; the decision is made by the skipper and confirmed by the office before you're due to leave.

What's included in the charter price, and what costs extra?

The quoted price covers the yacht, skipper (unless you've booked bareboat), fuel for a standard itinerary, and basic safety and snorkelling gear. Catering, premium drinks, water toys beyond the standard set, and mooring fees at a restaurant dock are quoted separately and confirmed in writing before departure.

What's your cancellation and refund policy?

Cancel more than 14 days before departure and the 30% deposit paid at booking is refunded in full. Inside that window, once the balance has been charged, it's non-refundable, though we'll try to rebook the same slot within the April-to-October season if notice allows.

How many guests can each boat take?

Capacity depends on the yacht: most of the fleet carries 6 to 12 guests, and the largest vessel is licensed for up to 26. The exact figure for each boat is stated on its individual charter sheet, which we send with your quote.

Do I need a licence to take a bareboat charter?

Yes. Bareboat charter requires a valid skipper's licence recognised in Spain, and we check the original document against your booking details at the marina before handover, not just at the time of booking. If you don't hold one, book a skippered charter instead and our skipper handles the vessel throughout.

I found this site searching for Yeska the band, is this the right place?

If you were looking for the Spanish rock group, this isn't that site. This domain now runs Yeska's yacht charter operation out of Palma de Mallorca, covering day trips and weekly charters across the Balearics.
